The House
In April 1998 we bought an old piggery just outside of Cambridge.
The house had what is often referred to as "potential", a lovely situation in
open countryside, only 3 miles from the city and 1 mile from the science park, a fair
sized plot and over 5,500 sq. ft of outbuildings.
It also had very nasty decor and some bad structural and rot problems.
As a result we had a host of electricians, builders, carpenters, plasterers, plumbers, oil-tank specialists, septic tank and sewerage experts and especially family and friends all doing their bit to make the place habitable.
