Like everything else in the house, the roof needed some attention.

Time to put up some scaffolding.

Typical. As soon as the scaffolding goes up, it starts to snow.

It's all very pretty, but hardly roofing weather...

Fortunately the weather improved, and the roofers arrived.

The skip contains the old "flat roof" (it wasn't flat and was more of a large wet sponge than a roof).

...and now working on the sloping roof.

The sloping roof, or rather the lack of it (above). It was starting to get scary at this point...

...fortunately all went well. Here is the finished roof (below) after the roofers had put down felt (the original roof pre-dated roofing felt) and re-laid the original tiles.
